Canada Wild is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal information when you use our website and services.
1. Information We Collect
- Account & order information — name, email address, phone number, and billing details provided during ticket purchases.
- Attendee information — names and any custom registration fields collected on behalf of event organizers at checkout.
- Usage data — pages visited, browser type, device information, and IP address, collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies.
- Marketing & analytics data — when ad measurement is enabled by an event organizer, we use third-party services (such as Meta/Facebook Pixel) to measure ad performance and understand how visitors arrived at our site. These services may receive your IP address, browser information, page views, and purchase details (event name, ticket quantity, total amount) so organizers can measure their advertising effectiveness.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To process ticket purchases and deliver confirmation emails and tickets.
- To communicate with you about your orders, events, or account.
- To share attendee information with event organizers so they can manage their events.
- To measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns run by event organizers and improve ad targeting (when enabled).
- To improve our platform and user experience.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. Information Sharing
- Event organizers receive the attendee and order data for their events so they can manage check-in, communications, and event logistics.
- Payment processors receive billing information to process your transactions securely.
- Advertising platforms — when an event organizer has enabled ad measurement for their events, we share limited browsing and purchase data with Meta (Facebook) so they can measure ad campaign performance. This data is associated with your Facebook account if you have one. You can opt out of this measurement via your Facebook ad preferences or your browser settings.
- We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
- We may share information if required by law or to protect our legal rights.
4. Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including SSL encryption for all data transmitted through our website. Payment information is processed by PCI-compliant payment processors and is not stored on our servers.
5. Cookies & Tracking Technologies
We use three categories of cookies and similar technologies:
- Essential cookies keep you logged in, remember your shopping cart, and process payments. These are required for the site to function and cannot be disabled.
- Functional cookies remember your preferences and improve your experience.
- Analytics & advertising cookies are loaded by third-party services (e.g. Meta Pixel) when an event organizer has enabled ad measurement for their events. These help organizers understand how visitors found their events and how their ads are performing.
You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings. Most browsers also offer “Do Not Track” settings and incognito/private modes that limit tracking. Disabling essential cookies will prevent the site from functioning correctly.
6. Canadian Privacy Law
We comply with applicable Canadian privacy law, including the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information at any time.
7. Your Rights
- Access, correct, or delete your personal information by contacting us.
- Opt out of marketing communications at any time.
- Request information about what data we hold about you.
